The new year is now a week old and this means that a very large percentage of people have already quite on their New Year’s Resolution and started losing hope on achieving their dreams and goals for this year... they basically fall back to their routines and stopped chasing greatness.
Since this has happened to me plenty of times I have created a basic routine with which I get back on track, and you can too.
1. RISE BEFORE THE SUN
When I start by day bright and early I always do much better and achieve more because I have control over my day. I wake up before the sun rises and when I beat the sun up, I feel accomplished and that I’m winning. This gives me the motivation I need to seize the rest of the day.
I read a quote once which gave me the motivation to keep the consistency of waking up early...
"Early to bed, early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise."
To follow me on this all you have to do is get out of bed then add a little planing and you will do it.
Some of the main things I do in the morning are,
- Check the charts (quickly)
- Check the news
- Drink water (plenty of it)
- Read a book
2. FOCUS ON YOUR FUTURE BY WRITING ABOUT IT
The first thing I do when I get out of bed is to write down my goals, but not just any goals... they are visionary goals... bigger and better than what I want... the kind of goals that wake me up because I have to work so much harder to achieve them.
The point here is that no matter how you feel, you MUST get up and write down your goals.
I started doing this in 2018 and haven't missed a day.
My past is not what I have my attention on, it’s my future. I’m not focused on what happened, but what I want to make happen.
Ask yourself what do you want to create with your ONE life?
3. DO YOUR WORK, TAKE THE FIRST STEP
Take the first step... get out of bed then take another step and freshen up.. then another and review the markets... then another a work out... have breakfast and everything else... its one step and a time and with each step you accomplish something and by doing this... by doing a bunch by lunch you will end up a winner by dinner!
I guarantee that anytime you got off track, it’s because there’s too much time available to you so fill up your day with tasks and duties which move you forward towards your goals... do this for 2 years and you'll be in a place of happiness, good health, wealth and wisdom.
It's as simple as this... the more time you give yourself, the more time you have to screw up.
